It all began one day in 1987 … when founder Donald Lloyd, after 15-years of tirelessly designing building mechanical systems on his drafting board, discovered the value of Computer-Aided-Drawing. Don believed CAD was about to dramatically change the design industry … it was also the answer to fulfilling his dream of starting his own business. Brandywine CAD (B-CAD) was born.

Brandywine CAD’s name came from … the area, rich in American History. Within a few miles is the Brandywine Battlefield along the banks of the Brandywine River, where on September 11, 1777 the American army led by General George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette fought against and was defeated by the British and Hessian forces, led by General Howe. The American army fled to Philadelphia, 25-miles to the north. Brandywine CAD is not the only notable attraction in the area. The Dupont Company, Longwood Gardens, Delaware Art Museum, Valley Forge, and many other historic landmarks reside in and near the Wilmington/Philadelphia area.

What we do is … listen well and work hard. Our original focus was to provide CAD production support to pretty much anyone who designs and maintains buildings. So Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Facility Managers came running for our services. When they asked for more, we accommodated. Our Services grew to include field documentation, training, consulting, scanning, and printing services.

Our Strength comes from … our staff. We know it’s not easy to fool experts in the A/E/C world and we don’t try. Our Team is comprised of a diversified group of men and women who are experienced and very good at what they do. They represent all disciplines including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and GIS systems.

We stay on top by … living our passion for making a better product. Our Team is never content … they enjoy problem solving and experimenting with new concepts. Our unrelenting discontentment with the status quo fuels B-CAD’s ongoing push for the summit.

Thanks for visiting and we hope you stay awhile!
